    Corporate Advocacy Program
DesignQuote.net, requires that the designers who are looking for work PAY for each lead they use. The leads are supposed to be created by actual companies looking for graphics designers, web designers, and programmers.

However I have noticed very, unussual activity since joining this service.

#1. New leads often get posted in groups of 5 or 10 and are all posted within one hour of each other. This is extremely suspicious seeing as all the companies signing up to find designers, should signup at completely different times randomly throughout the day, week, month. If they were real that is.

#2. They say that you should expect 1 out of 10 leads to work out in your favor. The case is more like 1 in 40 leads work in your favor. you actually spend about $1000.00 US to obtain a $2500 job.

#3. aproximately 3/4's of the leads posted are suspicious, the lead when contacted never returns phone calls, never returns emails, and never purchases a service. However designquote keeps your money, saying that it was a good prospect and that it is the designers fault for not being able to close the deal.

I beleive DesignQuote to be a bogus service, offering bogus leads to clients who pay for good quality design job leads.

This is not even a report of an issue, its just a suspicion?

AUTHOR: Designquote - Roswell (U.S.A.)

This is not even an inncident, its just someone who doesnt think the service works well. In any cased I will respond to the 3 points listed.

1) New leads get posted in groups of 5 or more. - When our customer service reps come in every morning the first thing they do is get to work approving projects. Many projects have been verified by clients leaving messages on our voicemail and/or emailing us. So when our reps start up in the morning and check messages, there are usually several projects that can be approved right away. The rest trickle in through out the day as we contact clients, you can look at our twitter feed to see the times at http://twitter.com/designquote

2) Many designers have a much better response than you do, it is probably due to the quality of your references and portfolio. You can see that we have hundreds of succesful designers closing a lot of projects, just look at our constantly updated winners board: http://www.designquote.net/html/recent_awarded_projects.cfm and top designers http://www.designquote.net/html/top_20_designers.cfm
- also you first say that the leads are bogus, then you say you spent $1000 and earned $2500 - so you made money and your still claiming you got ripped off?

3) You say 3/4s of the leads are sucpicious - however you also say you spent $1000 which would get you about 50 leads in the $1000 range. We post about 600 leads a month - your saying that you tried less than 10% of our monthly leads and you think you can make a claim about 75% of our inventory based on a 8% sample. This is just a silly claim, you can't say that 3/4 of our leads are sucpicious when by your own admission you have only "supposedly" purchased $1000 of leads.

We have 2 full time customer service reps and all they do is call and email clients to verify projects. We do not post any project until we have received verification from the client that they have the funding and are ready to hire a designer. These are leads and not guarenteed jobs, its up to the designer to close sales, and many, many designers do very well with designquote.

I am sorry that you did not do that well, you only earned $2500 after spending $1000 - but I do not think that just because you donly earned $1500 that you should be saying we are a rip off and accusing us of posting fake leads.

DesignQuote was started by my company and we have been doing web design since 1995 - we would never post fake leads and rip off our fellow designers. We do our very best to wualify our leads and we only approve about 40% of the projects that get submitted to us, many are rejected if the person does not respond or want to omuch work for too small a budget. We also refund credits if designers report a lead as bogus and we investigate and it is found to be bogus. All of our terms and conditions are clearly defined on the site. We would not have such a successful service that has been running since 2006 if we were ripping people off.

DESIGNQUOTE.NET BIG SCAM ARTIST

AUTHOR: Bob - Petaluma (U.S.A.)

Very interesting, let me share with you what happen to me and to 3 other people.

I posted a project on designquote.net and got several bids and of course went with the best bid for the project, the winning bidder was VPEWEB Vision Plus Editions and i later found out that its just a guy who name is Robert Greene who works from his garage.

I had to pay him upfront $2300.00, he was to build for me 2 websites and design some software for me, he did not have much knowledge of myspace and the games so i had to share with him all my business plans, my company name was to be myspacefriendsadder.com and you can easily verify when i purchased this domain name, what happen next was a nightmare.

The guy whom i employed VPEWEB ended up not giving me anything for my money, he also stole all my business plans as well as the .NET of my .COM business name www.myspacefriendsadder.com is my domain you can quickly look up my name as owner and when i purchased domain, then look up that same domain as a .net and you will see it was registered several months after i purchased my domain and this so called company VPEWEB owns it now and is running a website with all my ideas.

I have since run into 3 other people who have been ripped off by Robert Greene VPEWEB and they all went to designquote.net to get bids just like i did, i think designquote.net and VPEWEB are one in the same person and they give all bids to themselves and they are scamming many people.

If this statement isnt true then designquote.net is still guilty for not removiong this person from their site
