Labor Ready, Inc. LI, True blue Hire Drug addicts, illegals and felons Norristown, Pennsylvania

First I'd like to say that I feel nothing but empathy for all employers who misguidedly chose to use Labor Ready. A few years back, I worked for a staffing company down the street from Labor Ready. I would daily get calls from them begging for any employees we had "laying around". First I must say I was not a day labor firm. After several weeks of their daily phone calls, I took a walk down and pretended to need a job, so I could see the hiring process, training as well as backround and drug check. I walked in with a drivers license. I was asked immediately to go out to work. No backround check, no drug test no 2 forms of valid ID was required. I was told by the staffing specialist that if I was asked by the employer, that I indeed was drug tested and had a criminal backround check when infact I did not. I was promised $7.00 per hour cash which was under the state minimum wage. I was speaking with several day laborers who told me that they get screwed out of pay daily, That no matter how many hours they work they get paid for 8 and if they don't like it, leave. I know for a fact that their laborers, atleast 10 that were there that day had dirty urine. I know because I personally drug tested them at my place and turned them away.

If you are an employer, stay away from this company. The dollar amount per hour may be reasonable but in the long run, it's a liability not worth entering into. I now am a small business owner and would not want Labor Ready, temporary employees representing my business.
