Mark Swain sent me information and promises that property tax relief was the next hottest market.  I was interested, so I filled out the affiliate forms and was excited to have my clients sign up.  He then sent me a Paypal like to pay him $495 for "leads".  It is basically impossible to have data leads for property tax relief,in my opinion, how would you get the information about property value?  I told him I was not paying.  He sent me an awarkwardly long email explaining to me how affiliates do so much better when they buy his leads and blah balh.  This is when I realized it was a scam.  They are just trying to get money up front.  Beware.

AUTHOR: 24k - (United States of America)

I had originally been dealing with Michael Keysor at Free Property Tax Relief LLC aka freepropertytaxrelief.com but somehow started emailing back and forth with Mark Swain who claims he is the CEO.

To make a long story short Mr. Swain is extremely rude, condescending and is in a big hurry for you to PayPal either $295 as an Affiliate or $495 as a Net Branch Manager (which you don't need to do anything to qualify for, just send him more money).

I decided to do my own due diligence when things started to not add up. I found that the address listed as the business address is actually a UPS Store and it is not Suite E-189 it is PO BOX 189. Upon further investigation the box was just opened in 2009 and all of the ads and marketing for this "company" started in November of 2009. However, they claim to have "hundreds of prosperous, successful affiliates and thousands of satisfied clients". That is amazing since they have only been operational since November 2009 and the average tax reassessment takes at least 2 months and is OFFERED FOR FREE BY YOUR LOCAL TAX ASSESSORS OFFICE.

I searched high and low for anyone who had a legitimate contact number who is making any money with this company or anyone who has used their services, I found none.

When I sent a polite email which stated:

"Hello Mark, Upon completing my due diligence I have opted to decline. Regards,..."

I received a response where he stated that I had "issues in life" followed by numerous other insults and that he was going to file a formal complaint against me. I have no idea what for.

No legitimate company asks for you to pay them money to work for them and then freaks out when you politely decline. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
