Dave Stroud Vocal Coach, This Vocal Coach is not very good and he charges way too much Hollywood, California

I am a student of Dave Stroud who has been training with Dave for over a year and a half.  He is not only an amazing vocal coach (and one of the best) but he is also really fun to work with.  Dave has taught me not to strain and go nasal with my voice which has been a night and day result.  He is not the most cost effective but he is definitely worth every investment that I have made (what you pay for is what you get).   Dave has helped me to develop my voice and sing with confidence even when I am performing in front of over 130,000 people.  If you are serious about your singing then you will invest in a good vocal coach!

PS: Maybe your voice is worse because you never practiced!! Ok. I think you are making up inappropriate information and should be ashamed of yourself to put out misleading information.  MAJORITY OF MUSIC CELEBS HAVE VOCAL COACHES! Duh!!

All I can say is that this report is so obviously a pack of lies, written by someone who knows very little about voice.

Dave is an AMAZING vocal coach.  I have seen my voice grow, and because of this my career opportunities, by leaps and bounds since I began studying with Dave.  The techniques that he has instilled in me have extended my range, made my tone clearer, and most of all, made singing easier for me.  He, unlike many other teachers, does not just teach technique in a vacuum, but also teaches you how to apply it to songs.  He is very versatile and has helped me in many genres of music.  He has a lot of celebrity clients...I have seen them in the studio often. 

Additionally, I have gotten to know Dave very well, working with him at least once a week for several years.  To say that he is inappropriate with ANYONE is the worst kind of lie.  Dave is very professional, and cares deeply about his students all while maintaining a professional demeanor.  I am appalled that someone would say such an obvious lie because they are upset that they have no talent.  

Perhaps the writer of the report only ever got to piano scales in their lessons with Dave because of their limited ability and/or their unwillingness to put any effort into their singing.  Dave is great with working with all levels of singers, but if you don't put in effort, I don't see how you would ever progress.

Let me first say that I've worked with Dave Stroud for close to a year now, and I am more than satisfied with the results. Time and money well-spent. He is a joy to work with, and committed to seeing his students progress.

I realize what I've said sounds a bit cheezy, but he really is. Many, many students decide to take vocal lessons weekly, and expect to magically be able to sing amazingly, without practicing on their own time. The voice is a muscle. You have to work it out constantly. Coming in to see a vocal coach once a week will not, alone, help you strengthen your voice. This is why Dave records every lesson on an SD card, and allows you to take it home and practice the scales. It seems that the person writing this report was asking for the impossible; asking for Dave to make their voice better without them putting any effort in themselves. You have to commit, and Dave will make you commit.

I've gone to many vocal coaches throughout the years, and Dave is one of the friendliest, most entertaining people I've worked with. It's also common knowledge that, with vocal coaches, there's a confidentiality agreement they sign with big-name clients. Dave never brags about celebrity clients, and even if he did, he would have to pay for it. Saying that he advertises that is just false. 

In summation, the reports seems to just be filled with slander and false accusations. If you're iffy about Dave because of this report, meet with him and judge for yourself. He's the kind of guy that'd be happy to talk with people about their worries.

I have worked with Dave Stroud for over 12 years. He is an amazing teacher!
My voice has improved dramatically since I started and I would not have a carreer as a singer or the voice I have, without the work that I have done with Dave.
Dave has been a big support and working with him has been nothing but positive.

I started seeing Dave Stroud 3 years ago.  When I first came to him, I was frustrated because I was becoming hoarse every time I sang.  I had heard that he was an excellent coach when it came to strengthening and providing rehab for vocals that were being abused.  Dave was the greatest find ever. Ever.  I look back now and I don't even recognize the girl that had lost her voice.  My voice is stronger and better than it has ever been, and the days of going hoarse are long gone.  I can sing for much longer than I ever thought I'd be able and my range is now through the roof.   

Dave is a great teacher.  Not only is he so intuitive with voice, but he is very open to explaining what he hears and why the adjustments that he recommends are important.  Because I have learned so much from him, I can listen to old recordings of myself and hear what I was doing that lead to my vocal strain.  
 
Dave is more than a vocal coach.  Dave is an amazing person and an amazing friend.  He is someone who has always pushed me to be better, given me invaluable coaching in the music industry and most importantly, has always believed in me.  Dave is someone who cares about his students.   He shares in their dreams and celebrates their successes because he becomes a part of their lives.  He is exactly the kind of person that you want in your corner.  He is kind and fun to be around and not "Hollywood" and ego driven like others in the industry.  

I can't say enough great things about Dave Stroud and I honestly don't know what I would do if he weren't a part of my life.  I am truly grateful to know him and I don't think anyone could ever take his place.  

I started to work with Dave in 2009 and after 3 weeks, I could already see a huge difference in my voice, being able to sing songs i was struggling with before!! Then I had to go back to Canada where I live, but I decided to start saving money, just to be able to go to LA again and take more lessons with him!

I went back for several more months and this made a ton of improvements, i can finally sing with power those 3-4 notes that used to sound really weak! Obviously, you do have to practice between the lessons, but if you do the exercises he tells you to do, it's nothing complicated and very efficient!!

I would more than recommend him, and also I would say you don't have to take my word for it, just schedule 2-3 lessons, it doesnt take much more to already see the benefits!!
