The Arizona Department of Economic Security, child support enforcement division is a waste of time for single parents. I have been hounding them to find out why my ex-husband is not able to make owed child support payment for his two children.

My ex-husband now owes over 5,000.00 in back child support, not including what he owes for this month.

I have repeatedly called and asked to speak to my case worker and was told they are not "available". How can they not be able to speak to their clients?

I am tired of the people who are supposed to help get these dead beat dads for past due child support just sitting on their hands and saying the case has to go into "debt".

Hello, he is in debt to his two young children who go without new clothes or shoes because he doesn't want to pay.

My ex-husband has his wages garnished and his new company will not take out the owed money. My children have been without child support for the better part of this year and I struggle to work enough to pay bills and to be able to eat.

The department of economic security family assistance will not help me because they say I make too much money a month.

If you call $900.00 a month too much money then I am rich and should have every luxury possible. So this means I do not receive food stamps, I do not receive AFDC and I do not receive medical insurance for my children.

We need a better system in Arizona to ensure that our children, who are the most important people, can get the necessary help they need.

Because, sorry there are too many dead beat dads who don't care about their children and don't care if they starve.

Dead beat Mom's are not prosecuted

AUTHOR: David - Tempe (U.S.A.)

My ex-wife owes back child support of over $12,500 and we have been to court 7 times in the past 18 months. Each time the judge orders her to pay support and she ignores the order. He has since ordered wage assignments from two different employers. Each time she quits her job. She is a medical professional and it is easy for her to move from job to job. I have been unable to get any enforcement action and my children are suffering emotionally from the lack of contentment in both homes and also lack of having their needs filled financially. They are teenagers and in constant need of clothing and I can't keep up, with their financial needs. Why are the enforcement rules not the same for women as for men? If the situation were reversed, I would be in jail. She uses the court system to her advantage by objecting to each order of the court. It is her intent to continue to object until she gets a judge that is favorable to her. She has money to pay attorney fees but not to support her children. Where is the justice system when you need them.
