Going forward, it would be very good practice to remember to never, never, never, never TEXT a supervisor anything important, like that you're not coming in.
I can only imagine the unprofessional environment at that establishment that would even lead you to having a supervisor's cell number to begin with, but that still doesn't remove you from your responsibilities.
You admit you basically "texted-in" instead of calling in. That comes across as some lazy shit right there. I understand you were sick and you fell back asleep, but your supervisor and the rest of the world won't care.
About this other clown who got his job back? It doesn't concern you. Even if all you say is true, he has a job and you don't. Focus on you. Even if karma and justice are served and he gets fired, it doesn't pay your bills. There's no time in this life for getting involved in the B.S. of others, trust me.
Also, be glad this all happened at Burger King and not a real job. If you can grow as a person enough to realize that you're the one who dropped the ball here and learn something from this, then this isn't such a bad thing. I'm sorry it's not a lesson you were taught earlier in life but at least it's there now. What you do with this new information and how you handle yourself going forward will ultimately help decide what type of person you become.
Good luck to you and I hope you find work soon. (better work too)
