I have a bank account with Bank of America and over the past couple of months they have been over charging me with a $34 fee for transactions that were posted but have not been cleared on my account and now my account only has 24.61 instead $180.00 dollars.

I would like to close this account and open a different account at a different bank but I cant because what is going on with my account at BoA.

Your wrong merchant actually debits your acct

Sir, items that are posted to your account have cleared your account. If an item has posted it is cleared. Maybe you mean pending instead of posted. When you use you debit as a credit, merchants send in a autorization, not a debit for the amt, therefore it may be days before that merchant actually debits your acct.
