Department Of Corrections Probation Officer Cruel and unusual punishment Lakeland Florida

My husband was on probation, he was doing great for the first 5 months, the problem was this probation officer was impossible to locate.My husband would call her daily and leave message after message, she would not return them. He went in and left her a note, since she was not in that day. She never responded. She would call us and schdule home appt. She would never show up.Then my husband had his review by the Judge. We go and sit.They call his name he goes up, and his PO comes storming up, slams her file down and says "he has a warrant, I want him in custody" I was speechless so was my husband, what warrant? They just grab him and wisk him away.I never felt such a sinking horrible feeling, I was so upset, I couldnt remember where we parked. I had to walk around the court house twice before I could find the car. I went home and looked high and low for this warrant, couldnt find anything. I called the supervisor, of Probation and Parole, he said the warrant was for not reporting to his officer. I said how can you report to her when you cant find her? he really couldnt give me a answer, but to say coming into the office once is not enough and the phone calls do not count. This po made it sound to the Judge like he had a warrant for some parole violation, she never mentioned it was for not talking to her. My husband served 30 days for that. The fincial hardship this caused was horrible. After this 30 days he was given a new PO since the other was no longer working there.

i know the feeling! i am on probation in lakeland,fl. i was told im doing great and have fulfilled my special conditions. was informed by my p.o. that he was going to file for early termination unless he found problems. if he did,he said hed contact me in a few days. that was aug. 3rd 2010. never heard from him so i figured id hear from the court in 2 weeks like he said i would. 6 weeks later i contacted my lawyer and she said no documents were ever filed and now i owe another $205.11 after being told i owed 200 a few mos ago which i paid! my lawyer said i was lied to because i got a new officer and the old officer was taking me off his caseload and figured hed just lie to me because hes lazy. what a bunch of crooks! its all about money in fl. you have to buy your way out of this corrupt justice system! polk co. florida has a reputation for being corrupt and shady. they use their authority to rip ppl. off! this has happened to many other ppl. polk co.-"the best justice system money can buy!" so now i have to miss a car payment so i can buy my freedom from these thieves!
