We contacted www.rentaphotobooth.com after finding them on the internet looking to rent a "real" photo booth rental machine for our daughter's wedding.

The man Rolland was very pleasant and explained to us that these photo booths are the "real photo booths" dating from way back in the day but "modernized" to print faster clearer photos and to "fit anywhere" in the building. We booked with his company taking his word for it plus he was the cheapest we could find.

We should have known at that point what he meant by "modernized" and why he was so cheap.

This is a perfect story about "you get what you pay for".

When the attendant showed up at our job, he told us it was his first job working and that he got this job to help pay bills part time off a craigs list ad just a few days ago. I cant believe a company would do that! Don't they care about there reputation?

But worse was yet to come. The so called "real" photo booth came packed in two carry bags!

Folks, the so called photo booth was nothing more then a bunch of metal poles in the shape of rectangle and large curtain tossed over it with a camera and laptop computer inside. This far away from the photo booths we all remember as a kid in the amusement parks.

We felt so scammed we told the attendant to leave the party, call Rolland, and get out of here. Rolland called back, apologized a million times and told us that the attendant should stay and we should accept his apology and he will give us a refund as long as we dont "slander" his company.

We let him stay but what good was it. The printer kept braking, the metal pipes of the booth were falling apart and the attendant had no idea how to fix anything. Plus the ink was smudging on all the photographs and individuals had it on their clothing as well.

Be on the lookout folks. If you are looking to bring some fun to your party for your wedding or whatever, spend the extra money and get it right. I guess thats what we get for $900 where as all the other companies who were appranetly renting real booths were charging $1500-2000.

Hope this helps other avoid this scam artist.

Randy and Rita.

#1 Owner of Company

Absolutely false

AUTHOR: Owner - Charlotte (U.S.A.)

We do not lie to our clients about the types of booths we rent out. We have two kinds of photobooths we rent out. One is a hard sided booth and the other is a fabric sided booth. This particular client rented out a fabric sided booth and they took hundreds of photos which I'm sure their guests enjoyed. Our web site clearly states the differences between the two. I never had any conversation about agreeing to refund the clients money if they promised not to slander the company. That is totally false. The printer did not constantly break nor did ALL the prints smudge. All the ink dries in less than a minute and the only way it could smudge is if people took them too soon. Bottom line is the client's guests used and enjoyed the booth and the client unfortunately did not like the way the booth looked and is trying to take advantage of this situation.
