I did the same as Susan. All what happened to Susan happened to me. I bought into the scheme in January 2007, said I would receive a report every month got one you could not understand. Then they they said that they would send them out every 3 months didn't happen eventually I got one after much complaining telling me I had 0 in my account after talking to Jeff Kent he told me that he would get the Directors to put the $1000 back and send me a report but of course it didn't happen. After asking for the report again & not getting a response I asked for my $1000 back yes said Jeff I will put it in your account on Tuesday the 11-3-2008. Of course it didn't happen, so back on the phone again had to get him to ring back yes he was putting it in that day this happened about 3 times. So still no money. So I contacted the fraud taskforce & they told me to write a letter of demand. Still nothing so these people are just here to rip off people & need stopping. I asked Jeff Kent how many other people were in the same position as me & he said 12. So if they have taken $6600 off all them that is a total of $79200 not including my $6600. That is if they only put in that amount. They even had the hide to ask me to recomend them to my family & friends which I replied that they had to prove themselves first. I am too ashamed to tell my family & friends what a fool I have been. I would like to quote their mission statement.

Carol, I am at a loss how these people sleep at night after what they have done. All their promises about the 'perfect arbitrage', more like the 'perfect ripoff'. Like you I am kicking myself for becoming involved.

My intelligence as has yours been insulted and I still don't have my money back. I will continue on the path I am taking as should you. I sent them a letter of demand, I forwarded my letter to ACCC and ASIC, it would be beneficial for you to do the same. Don't worry about the shame of joining as we are not the ones in the wrong. I don't like giving money to someone and getting nothing back...not even service-it's disgusting.

This is a misleading and shameful deception. I only hope that they receive the same one day and know what it's like to be ripped off. The old saying..what goes around..comes around, is true.

These people might be taking holidays every weekend to Melbourne of where ever and whatever flash hotel they stay in, but, in time they will feel as much anger or suffering as we are.

You know what sickens me even more...I keep getting sent more info to join these arbitrage scams knowing all too well their true colours...it's just wrong!

Is it possible to get our investment money returned?

My partner and I are based in New Zealand and like so many of you reporting against AFL, we too have been duped by the company. You can read our report as well as update on this website. As New Zealanders, we are unsure as to what course of action is to be followed to reclaim our money from these con artists. I spoke to the Complaints Dept at ASIC and they said to lodge a formal complaint in writing and they would look into the matter within 28 days. We have already sent an email to AFL raising our numerous concerns and asking for our investment money back which of course has not been answered.

We will be submitting a complaint to ASIC next week. What exactly is ACCC that Susan refers to in her comment? What does the acronym stand for, so we can look it up on the Net and get their contact details? What about alerting the media to our plight? Will the threat of a backlash of negative publicity force these people to cough up our hard-earned money? It would be so much easier and practical if all the victims of this scam could contact one another and pool our resources, but ripoff report will not release our contact details as a matter of policy, so

I'm unsure how to get round this communication gap. Does anyone have any ideas? I have already emailed the editor at ripoffreport requesting that my email id be passed on to other victims of the AFL Arbitrage / Kent Woodhouse scam so that we can work together to get some justice, but nothing has come of it. Meanwhile, any help with information/steps to be followed which you can add as consumer comments on any of our reports and which will help bring these crooks to book, would be most welcome.

No Susan it hasn't changed. Do I have to register on My space to comunicate with KIMBILIE? It seems they have done this to so many people & are still doing it as one in Feb 2008. How they can be so blantant to keep on ripping people off. Carol Biloela

Hello,

My Name is Patrick, and Unfortunately I have been sucked in buy their sweet talking as well as a good return and paid them $11900 on May 2007. Since my venture began with AFL/KENT WOODHOUSE AND ASSOCIATES, I've had nothing but false hopes since watching the story on A Current Affair and finding out what has been going on, I have been really upset by the way hard working ordinary Australians have been treated thus the reason for this email.

I am wounding if you have taken the next step of starting legal action against Jeff Kent and his company? I really think the only way we have a chance at getting at least some of our hard earned money back, is by coming together and forming some kind of class action against KENT WOODHOUSE AND ASSOCIATES.

I have no legal experience what so ever but I've been doing some research and have spoken to a few Solicitors in this field and they too even recommended this process. So if you are interested in filing a class action or if you are already involved in some kind of legal action I would very much like to be involved. If you wish to speak further please do not hesitate to contact me on the below information.

I think Geoff Kemp & Michael Schneider have flown the coop as everything has disappeared. Can't even do the right thing by people.

Hello Patrick well sounds like you are another one to get caught by these Criminals. Yes Geoff Kemp & Michael Schneider mothers must be real proud of these 2. Go to the Sports Arbitrage Trading news site as a bit is on their ripoff scheme is on there. I don't know much about the class action stuff either. But it seems like it is very difficult to get these people to be responsible for their actions.

At least we seem to have destroyed their scheme as they have cut off their phones & web site at least for the time being. Probaly change their names & start up somwhere else. But hopfully the tax department & Justice department will keep onto them seeing they have been brought into the spotlight. Never even had the deciency to talk to Current Affair It spelt GUILT all the way through.

Exposed On National Television

AFL Arbitrage (aka) Kent Woodhouse have been exposed on National Television in Australia.

The story is on the Internet on ninemsn.com

When confronted by the reporter, management and staff "flew the coop" in more ways than one. They bolted down the stairs and ran out the doors with the reporters hot on their heels.
