My brother in law and his wife were "sucked" in by Unim. Because their credit was less than desired they asked me to co-sign for them. They assured me that everything was above board and the web site with Unim was a sure deal.

After a year my brother in law decided he was tired of paying for a web site that produced NO income so he canceled everything through his bank as well as the account he was using.

Well Axin Financial came after me. Made it very clear that I had signed the contract and I was responsible for the re-payment of the loan. I tried very hard to deal with them in a kind way. I was caught between Axin and a family member.

Axin had no compassion for the problem. They were only interested in either getting their money or suing my husband and I for whatever they could get. They didn't care that they were dealing with a company (Unim) that was "selling" fraudulent websites.

Very long story short, Axin is now taking the payment out of our personal account every month.

If anyone has any ideas how to beat these guys let us know.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

What did you think you were cosigning for?

AUTHOR: Bruce - Murray (U.S.A.)

You knew your brother-in-law had poor credit, and you knew that is why he asked you to co-sign. That is what a co-signer is for, to pay the loan if the original borrower defaults.

To avoid this in the future, don't cosign.
