I began looking for a takeout loan for my new Tahoe Lakefront home in March of 2011. I used RPM Mortgage of Truckee, Katie Rice was the mortgage broker.
My house is valued conservatively in this market at $1,925,000. My credit score is excellent, high 700s, my husband and I have never had problems borrowing money. Our income is over $30,000 per month, after taxes.
After 7 months of giving hundreds of pages of documents, after Bank of Internet gave us a committment without conditions and instructed our insurance agent to make them loss payee, Brian Swanson killed our loan because our construction lender filed a Notice of Default. The NOD was filed because our construction loan was due and it was taking months and months to take them out.
When the loan fell through with Bank of Internet, my husband and I blogged about how flaky they are. Brian Swanson with Bank of the Internet did not like the blogs and filed a restraining order against me--YES, can you believe it, a restraining order. I was served by the Sheriff on Friday and I had to fly to San Diego to attend a hearing on Wednesday--Brain and others at Bank of Internet was hoping I would not show up so they could file an additional lawsuit for Brian's emotional distress.
The restraining order was dismissed by the judge, now I can blog all I want and I want to warn everyone about B of I...they take fees, ask for deposits and do not like the bad news when people blog about them. Stay away, save your money, do not waste your time, this lender is not real.
