Reference: BMW Financial Destroyed My Credit Rating

Dear Sir or Madam:

I, Romaine Evans, had my credit rating and reputation seriously damaged and has been destroyed by BMW Financial.

This problem has four-plus years, history. Back, in 2007, I paid off my (2000) BMW 323I, through BMW Financial, Inc. Since, the automobile was paid off; BMW got paid the full money payment for the automobile!

I should not have been reported on my credit report, as having an automobile "Repro"!

The damages BMW Financial has caused me to suffer include the following; credit being destroyed, cannot get personnel loans, automobile financing, employment and small business loans. I had an automobile "Repro" due too BMW total neglect.

The BMW Financial, Inc. reported the paid-off automobile on my national credit report as a "Repro"! BMW Financial as refused to remove the "Repro" off my credit report!

BMW, actions resulted in me not to mortgage, personal and business loans. Every time my credit report is examined the "BMW" Repro is still on it!

Once again, I paid off the automobile over 4-years ago and credit has been totally destroyed!

I have documents proving the automobile was paid off before any "Repro" process could be started and copies of my destroyed credit reports!

Please, contact me at (((phone number redacted))), if your organization can help me resolve the situation, mention above.

Sincerely,

You had me until..

First of all it is REPO not REPRO.

You actually were providing a fairly good case that it might be an error until that statement.  That statement makes it appear as if you were delinquent, they had decided to repo the car, but the only reason they didn't actually pick it up is because you paid them off before they could.

So what is the exact situation surrounding your payment history and the payoff with them?  How exactly does it show on your credit report?   Do you physically have a clear title to the car?

By chance if you did pay off the vehicle and were never late where this status is an outright error, by law they must correct it.  If they don't you can file suit against not only BMW but the credit reporting agencies.  You need to review the Fair Credit Report Act(FCRA) as that will guide you as to what case you may have.  You can do this all yourself for free, or if you want can hire a lawyer to do this for you.

The good news for you on this is that even if it is legitimate since it happened in 2007 you only have about 3 more years for it to remain on your credit report.  After that it will "drop off" and be like it never happened.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

dispute it

AUTHOR: Jeanski - Buffalo (USA)

Your best option is to dispute the entry with the three credit bureaus. They will have to verify with BMW that they actually repo'd the car.  You can do it online, but it might be better to send hard copy in the mail with copies of the paperwork showing the loan was paid off.

Good luck!
