Chase Bank internet for invesgations They would not help me to get my money back from estrela marketing solutions. Which is a big scam in it self! I try to stop the payment to estrela but chase told me I had to wait for it to post. If you bank with chase and think it is a safe bank think again!! Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Back in August 3,2009, my mom thought she was dealing with a good e-mail marketing company called Estrela marketing solution. And she did give Estrela the money for services that she never received. But On 8-4-09 my mom did hear some really bad things about a Estrela marketing solutions. So my mom did go back to Chase and told them what she read and heard about Estrela and she wanted to make a stop payment on the $600 to Estrela, but chase online teller told my mom that she had to wait until  the $600 was posted to her account. And not to worried that Chase investigation department would make sure that she would get back her $600. So my mom waited until it was posted. She did go to Chase investigation bureau and told them what happen and she felt that Estrela is a scam company. And they told her not to worry and she did told chase that she was on S.S.I and she could not afford to lose this money! Chase investigations told her not to worry, and she did check from time to time to see what was going on with it the investigation. And every time she would get someone new.  Will today she was told that the problem was between her and Estrela and not Chase! She told Chase she felt if they would have stop this transaction when my mom told them to she would of still have her  money!!! But no they made her wait until the transaction was posted. And now her money is now gone and all the B.S chase told her not to worry was a lie! So if you are going with a new bank don't let it be Chase! She really feels disappointed in them! My Mom told a lot of people and even her local branch that she felt safe with chase and that they would be for her. But she don't no more!

Perhaps...

AUTHOR: Robert - Irvine (U.S.A.)

For them stopping payment before it was posted.  This is the same at any bank.  Unlike a check that they present from your account, where they can stop it.  There is no way to match up an electronic transaction before it posts.  That is unless you knew the exact requesting company, including not only the name but their banking information.  However, even then some companies get "smart" and will request payment a different way to get around any stop payments.

Most likely the dispute was denied because they probably had something that shows your mom gave them the authorization, which you even agree to.  They are not going to get in the position of deciding if a company is a scam or not.

Also, just a thought for the future.  If your mom is on SSI perhaps she should not be spending $600 on E-mail marketing.   If she couldn't afford to "loose" what sounds like a business venture, she probably couldn't afford to spend it in the first place.

I would close the account

AUTHOR: Steph - Minor Hill (USA)

I tell Chase that you are closing the account and moving to another bank. I had problems when Chase took over WAMU then after too much of thier BS I switched to Regions. If there is a Regions there in you area I would  highly reccomend them.
