I recently checked my credit report as I had lost my job a few years ago and want to get my credit back on track. I had a bad go around with Capitol One and knew that my credit scores would be low as a result.I found that my credit is close to average with scores around 620-660, but I have a deliquent amount of $975 with a past due of $293.

I found that the acoount name is CIT Lease Finance Group and I had no idea who this company was. After doing several searches, I have figured out what has happened. My old employer used CIT Lease Finance Group credit card terminals and I guess I was the poor soul that signed the lease. I lost my job when my employer went out of business and these dirty scum transferred the lease over to my name.

Keep in mind that I had no ownership or shares in this company and simply signed the paperwork as I am sure many of you have done at your own jobs upon delivery of equipment.

If you signed as a Personal Guarantor....

AUTHOR: D - Jacksonville (U.S.A.)

If you signed the Lease Agreement as a Personal Guarantor, you are personally responsible for the payments, regardless of what happens to the company you work for. It's just like co-signing on a car for someone. No matter what happens between you and them, you are still personally responsible for making sure the payments are made.
