Conceco, GreenTree Servicing ripoff dishonest,out make a buck, go after anyone they can! Arlington Texas

My husband Brandon bought a home through conceco 4 1/2 years ago, and lived in it for 6 months. Due to an illness he lost his job, and had to give it up. We called conceco and explained to them what we had to do. they in turn found a person to assume the loan so our credit wouldn't be ruined.YOU KNOW WHAT ASSUME MEANS! MAKES A *&*& OUT OF U AND ME!

Anyway! years later the lady who bought the home decides to abandon the home after having it 4 years. Well conceco who is now GT starts calling my in-laws to find us.they actually sent us a letter of NOTICE OF SURRENDER OF SECURED PROPERTY! We called and told them that we haven't owned that property in 4 years, also when i gave her the account # it didn't even pull up my husbands name.

they say he is responsiable because conceco before coming Gt did not send him a letter of Surrender of property to sighn when the lady bought the house. They say he is still responsable, and they want there money. We have a choice to pay the back and move back in with $2500 dollars worth of damage or sighn the letter of surrender whitch will go on his credit as a bad debt,or even if we don't sighn it they can go to court and have ithim deemed responsiable.

As of right now it shows on our credit as paid in full.We are in the middle of being approved for a new home and are almost close to closing. After having cancer he busted his ass to start over! Any suggestions on how we can stall until we close on our new home? I hate being that way, but when we gave up the home we asked if there was paper work to be sighned? they said no sense someone else is financing it! Conceco Greentree sucks! They ruin poeples lives when they don't do things the right way? does any one know if what their doing is legal? Sense it's been 4 years, and his name isn't on the new contract.
