GE Capital Cons Cardco Aka GECCCC Attempting to get more money after a payoff was sent Orlando Florida

We purchased furniture from Plaza House Furniture in Selinsgrove PA. They financed through GE Capital Cons Cardco. The promo was one year no payments. During the year we had some financial problems and when the year was up I missed two payments being on time. We got a home equity loan through the Benificial Company (Great People). I contacted GE Capital for a pay off. They gave me the amount and I sent it. It arrived (according to them) 3 days past the due date.

Now, with two other companies, they said, "No Problem" and waived the fee and we were paid off. BUT, GE Capital said, "NO WAY, YOU MUST PAY". For 3 days late the interest charge was over $100. The check I sent had printed on the back that by cashing that check it ment that the account was paid in full. Well, it seems that something like that in writing is not good enough for them. We are still in battle mode.

What really set me off was when I found this web site and saw all the others with similar complaints to mine. This company needs to be brought to the carpet.
