National Grants Conferences ripoff never sent us anything and refuses to refund the $899 for the membership. Don't be impressed with their all night TV ads. Boca Raton Florida

    ...the right way!
    Corporate Advocacy Program
Our agency, Orange County Deaf Advocacy Center, sent 3 people to the National Grants Conferences last year in the Fashion Island Costa Mesa.

We were impressed not only by their presentation but their willingness to make accommodations including hiring one of our sign language interpreters for the presentation by reimnursing her fee.

We were in dire need of funds as we were expanding our services. However they never sent us the materials; they promised a grant book resources for Orange County, California. Never got that and and to salt our wound, never reimbursed our $90 cost for the 3 hour interprteting service.

We waited and waited and waited and they seem completely ignore our demands for our money back plus the cost of the sign language interpreting service.

Warning! Stay away from National Grants Conferences. Don't be impressed with their all night TV ads.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Richard, did you receive their notebooks?

AUTHOR: Jay - Newport (U.S.A.)

Richard:

I'm trying to develop a program for Unemployed individuals. I listened to NGC program and liked what they had to say, who wouldn't. I'd like to know if you have been counseled, as they claim they do for members? Were you just let go and never contacted?

The claims seem incredible and yet a bit of truth seems to run through the information. Of course the good lies all carry enticement and some truth.

I see they do provide material at the presentation. Did you get something regarding business and real estate programs? Please post your response below.

Thank you in advance

I attended NGC in September of 2003, if it sounds to good to be true, then IT IS!

AUTHOR: Tamara - Philomath (U.S.A.)

Hi, I attended the National Grants Conferences workshop in Eugene, Oregon in September of 2003. My husband and I had just married when we saw the ad on late night television. The ad said to attend their conference to find out how to buy a house using only grant money. We got excited and went. We were sold on the testimonials. They showed dozens of testimonials of how people bought their own homes using government grants. We were then told to attend the follow up work shop were we would meet one-one with a representative to help us get the show on the road and find the grant fit for us. Well after two days of a man standing at the front of the room with over 100 in attendance. None of us ever got a one on one. It was actually another sales presentation. You know the kind where you set there and they give you the bare minimum and then tell you, you can did it, but it won't be easy unless you pay more. Power2000 for $1800. After doing some researching I found out the only grants available in my area were downpayment assistance grants. NO, I said NO grants for the full purchase of the house. Anyway when I called NGC to get my money bad, the charged me for the 2 day seminar, and made me send back all of the information and books, then refunded me $700 out of my $899. That was $200 for the piece of crap seminar plus babysitting time and driving time. Oh and they said they never said I could purchase a house using grant money, just that I could get a grant to help with the downpayment. So the moral is, if it sounds to good to be true, then IT IS!

Do your own research on grants in your local area. If you call the housing authority in your area, they usually will have all the info about the available grants you need. Or you can do a websearch. NGC is a scam.
