OCWEN FEDERAL BANK FSB ripoff another customer West Palm Beach Florida

Our loan was sold to Ocwen years ago and there the story begins. I could go on about this company and their bad business practices over the years, but what's the point.

I will tell you a sad story about my latest battle with this bank (that is a joke.) Because of Ocwen we had to file a Chapter 13 to get some breathing room before we lost our house. We paid Ocwen all the money due through the Chapter 13 plan and also our monthly payments. I tried to refinance my house about six months ago and was told no by almost every company that I contacted. I also received correspondence from Ocwen telling me that my payments were late and that I needed to contact them.

This is when the story gets really good!!! I called and the women told me that my loan is delinquent from a payment that I missed in 1999. That's right 1999!!! I explained that we had paid all the past-due payments through the Chapter 13 Plan filed in early 2002, so how could this be? She said she didn't know and we were being charged late fees over all of these years and my payments have never been on time since 1999. My statements never reflected this and I have kept all of them.

We are in construction and have our good and bad times. I don't understand legally how anyone can be paid through a Chapter 13 (all the money they are owed) and then find a payment that they didn't include in the plan from 1999 and charge me all of these fees.

We are trying again to re-finance our house so I decided to contact Ocwen again about the fees and this 1999 payment. Low and Behold! I find this site and all these people with the same problem. I have got to be one of the happiest people on this earth because we thought that they were just doing this to us. It seems that this boat is getting very crowded and that something needs to be done to these people.
