At first I was excited to finally have the opportunity to return back to school. I searched a few schools and requested information that's how I initially chose University Of Phoenix. The representative kept calling me back he convinced me that the program was really great and that they offer specila programs for military and their spouses.
So I went for it I initially borrowed 4,500 dollars for a student loan then I revieved the same amount an additional time to cover my expense. In total almost 10,000 dollars. When I realized now I'm thinking like how am I going to pay this back. But what I've realized is that the over pricing.
My husband told me that University Of Phoenix was being investigated for overcharging for their courses. So I started comparing prices to a few community colleges and some of the same courses ran about 250.00 dollars in which University of Phoenix charges 750.00 which I recieve for a military discount the original price is 1,000 dollars +.
When you are excited about something you don't really look at the fine print so the aftermath can be quite shocking. I've been calling and calling and sending emails to the advisor and financial aid and it seems like I can't get a response. They take forever to give you your money back after they have taken theirs I just don't understand
And last but not least my class that ended on 12/20/2009 is still not graded. She didn't grade weeks 7-9 which is really strange. I'm stressing because no one can give me any straight answers let alone tell me what is the problem. I need to know if I've passed this class or not. I think that there is a serious problem I have this one classs tha I'm going to complete and then I will have to pursue my degree elsewhere.
I would like more information on class action lawsuit information please count me in!
