Hubert Bullard of the grand strand fishing festival of June 11-13, 2010 was total false advertisement to all vendors!  When arriving on-time on the first check-in day from driving from WEST PALM BEACH, Florida...... we were told sorry, we have idea of a set-up or lay-out plan of the entire festival, come back later that evening.

When explaining how we can't drive around a town we don't know with a 35foot trailer, much less fit into a hotel parking lot...we were told not his problem!

We left trailer in mall parking lot (where it was advertised, in front) came back next day, check-in day 2, and he had left us no spot to pull the trailer in.  As Hubert was laughing when we expressed our frustration (knowing we were there the day before warning him of fitting a trailer of our size inbetween tents was impossible....hince, our EARLY arrival)..we opted he was unbelievably rude, and we wanted our deposit back, he laughed and said "yeah right!"

Another vendor approached us from Virgina said he completely lied about the entire location and size of venue, when they confrontred him, he laughed and said not his problem.  Luckily they had just mailed his check prior to coming, and they were able to call and stop payment.  They said to us that they would have stuck-it out if he wasn't SO rude to them.  I definately hope they fing this site and file a complatint as well, it was nice hearing Hubert showed his true side to more than one person!

I feel that the State of South Carolina should look into such a scam artist and discusting person representing their state... I know i'm spreading the word about SC down here in FL.....

I have know and worked with Hubert for more than 10 years and I have never know him to be unorganized, rude, or misrepresent any of his information associated with his events.  I do know that vendors will wait until the last minute to send in information needed to allocate space and accomodations.  I have been present at several of his events, Blue Crab Festival and others where vendors showed up with their application in their hands.  In all fairness, please admit when you have done this and do not show up anticipating to have the carpet rolled out for you when other vendors have sent their information in timely and followed the rules.  If you do not like the way Hubert runs his events then just go somewhere else.  Hubert runs an extremely efficient organization and has great reviews from those who are abiding by the policies and procedures set up before the events.  Every event that I have partnered with Hubert or been to one that he has had any involvement in has been a great success.  Anyone who deals with events outdoors know that things can change and the true measure of a successful business owner or vendor is being able to adapt to sometimes uncontrollable circumstances.  Keep up the good work Hubert.
