Suburban Propane Dishonest business practice Branford , Florida

I purchase my home in Lakeland Florida and the previous owner was customer of Suburban propane.

I call suburban propane in October 2008 to come and pickup the propane tank since i was converting to electric stove. I only had the stove from the previous owner on propane.

They said they will come and pickup the tank since it had only 5% of propane in it.

The next day the truck came by as i was working and i told the driver not to fill it since there coming to get it. He call the office and he was told to fill it. He fill the tank and sent me a bill of $230.00 to fill the tank.

I call back the same day Suburban propane and explain what happen. .The supervisor call me back the next day to schedule a pick up. I told him the fill the tank and i had paid the $230.00 he replied they cant pickup the tank now so he noted on my account that when the tank get to 5% i would call and they would take the tank out.

Last month while i was not here, the trunk came and top off the tank for 14 pound of propane and Suburban sent me a bill of $233.60.

I call Suburban propane and told them to pick up the tank and now. There no way i was going to pay that amount, the girl lookup my file and saw i only had the gas stove

she contact the supervisor to  schedule a pickup and she said i could get a smaller tank and that would be years before fill it. I said ok give me a smaller tank and refund me the difference until i used the propane. Yesterday got 2 bills from Suburban propane with a credit of $156.23 for the difference of propane from the 2 tanks But the applied against the previous bill of $233.60 minus the $156.23 and now i have a balance of $77.37 as of November 13 and the other bill is a balance of $78.48 as of November 15 2009.

I will contact Suburban propane to come and get there tank and refund me the propane for the previous big tank
