Bedroom Superstore, Ronald Hines & Julian Lopez ripoff deceptive company Modesto California

On February 17, 2002, we purchased a bedroom suit consisting of the following: Queen Bed with headboard, footboard and side rails. In addition, we also ordered a Dresser with Mirror, a 6-drawer Chest of Drawers and two (2) Nightstands for a total cost of $2,449.70. (We believe that it is important to note that we had previously priced a similar bedroom suit at Levitz for approximately $12.50 cheaper.)

In any event, Mr. Lopez accepted our cash payment and informed us that our "Receipt" would have to be altered somewhat (specifics were not identified) in order to accomodate our purchase agreement, which included a bedroom suit not to exceed $2,500.00. Finally, we were informed that we could expect delivery within 2 - 4 weeks.

On March 19, 2002, delivery of our bedroom furniture was attempted, at which time, we were informed that our order included(1) Nightstand as opposed to two (2)Nightstands. Moreover, when contact was made with a store representative to advise of our incomplete order, we were informed that they were sure our Salesman would cut us a good deal on another Nightstand.

Pursuant to the Bedroom Superstore's receipt that states in pertinent part, "No Refund will be given on orders in the possession of the customer," we were compelled to refuse delivery until an amicable solution could be agreed upon.
Three (3) telephone contact efforts have been made in an effort to resolve the matter, however, we have determined that genuine and sympathetic "Customer Service" is not a practice that the Bedroom Store has implemented, nor requires from its employees.
We have yet to be contacted by a representative of the Bedroom Store, and surmise that forfeiture damages will follow as well.
