Furniture Plus, Inc - Greg Popkin, Owner Greg misleads and misrepresents merchandise and will not address problems Jacksonville North Carolina

Every item I purchased from Furniture Plus has developed a problem of some kind.

- A Poulan Riding Mower was under recall which I did not find out until 6 months later, but had to pay for because Furniture Plus was not an authorized Poulan Dealer ... in spite of what I was told at the time of sale.

- I was assured that a Spring Air one sided bed mattress was as good as and on a quality level with Sealy Posturepedic, (which is what I intended to buy) and cheaper. When the Spring Air developed severe lumps and hollows within 2 months (I'm a 150 pound bachelor and live alone - how much wear can it receive?) I was told that they would contact the manufacturer to "make it right" ... which, of course, never materialized so I was out over $300 on that one.

- A Futon Mattress (supposedly top line innerspring) collapsed in just a few months of very light use. I was told that Furniture Plus would check with the manufacturer but that they wold "make it right with me". After a month and several communications, I was told that Furniture Plus no longer did business with the original mattress company ... "sorry, but nothing we can do".

- A Toshiba TV was represented as a current model when it was, in fact, two years old and no longer under warranty. When the power supply literally died 2 months later, there was, of course, nothing that could be done.

I spoke with the owner, Greg Popkin, several times about all these issues and now know that the assurances he gave weren't worth the breath it took him to speak the words. Greg's merchandise is second rate and Greg's word is worthless.
