Our first payment was due in June 2009, payment was sent May 15, 2009 with free individual checks one for June, July, and August are payment was only $23 each check was in the amount of $50 we started receiving phone calls in July in reference to not make your payments. This was odd we verified the address since we took it directly off of their invoice and was told it was correct by that point in time it was after July 15 we sent in payments for September, October, and November in the same amounts $50 per check each check was postdated with it clearly written which month each check was designated for there was also a letter attached explaining that this was not a pre-payment these were individual payments for the following 90 days.

I have been having problems dealing with people from GE money there customer-service is in India and trying to get someone that understands English well enough to help with this problem has been infuriating. They have charged late fees totaling over $300 now they have reported this to the credit bureaus as we have not made one payment in over 150 days which is absurd, I don't understand what is wrong with their processing center or mailroom the only way that I knew that this purported to the credit bureaus was that our Discover card and city card credit limits were lowered one by a little over $3000 and the other $1500.

We were about to apply to refinance your mortgage and now we are busy trying to clean up this mess. I cannot get anyone at GE money to pay attention so I am guessing my only option is to take this into the District Court in Maryland and maybe when they get served at have to retain an attorney here in the state of Maryland I will give somebody that actually speaks English as a first language contact me maybe resolve this problem. I have done several searches for the resident agent since they do offer services in the state of Maryland with no success so far.

We have asked them to stop calling and issued a cease and desist letter and they just keep calling since I have voice over IP I'm going to have a complete print out the last 2 1/2 months of every time they have called since being told not to and from what I gather there is a $1000 fine per instance for this behavior and talking to a few attorneys I know even though it is federal law there is a section of that law that allows it to be enforced at the local and state levels I'm still looking into this I've been a paralegal for over 10 years so I'm doing my research I will keep everyone updated and maybe if we can find enough people to file small claims lawsuits in different states we can bring some of this behavior to a halt.
