Do not buy anything from Jennifer Convertibles furniture stores without carefully reading all the fine print because verbal agreements with the sales people mean nothing. First, lets talk about an excessive delivery charge, $200, which is non-negotiable and thats just to get it to your driveway. If they have to go up stairs there is an additional charge per flight. Second, if you happen to be dissatisfied with the merchandise, or it does not fit, or it's not what you experienced in the showroom, too bad, because they do not allow returns or exchanges. Even if it was 5 minutes after delivery you are stuck with the furniture. There is no 7, 10 or 30 day grace period like with other furniture stores. Even if you want to cancel the order at delivery or prior to delivery, you have to forfeit 30% of the total cost for what they call a cancelled sale charge. In all my years of purchasing cars, electronics, appliances, and furniture, I have never come across a corporation with such horrendous policies towards it's own merchandise and customer satisfaction. Lastly, the sales people are scum. You can ask all the questions you want at the showroom and they will give you the answers you want to hear, but will they explain all the rules and policies, no. Just sign the invoice, which they call a contract, with a hundred different items listed on it, some related to your purchase and some just there to fill in the space. So consumers, do yourself a favor, do not buy anything from Jennifer Convertibles. Don't make the same mistake I did.
