My wife and I wanted to buy 1 of 3 sets of den furniture. The sales rep. Mr. Kaplan, at first seemed very nice. We discussed the price on all 3 sets. I told him I had a number in my head, and if he were to come close to it, I will buy a set. He insisted that he know the number first, I told him that if I told him the nimber first, then I wont budge from it, he was OK with that.  told him my number, he went to the manager, and came back 35 dollars higher than my number. I reminded him that I will not budge, and if he did'nt insist on knowing my number first, I would have purchased a set. He went back to his manager, then came back to us, in front of my wife, Mr. Kaplan cursed me out. He is an older man, so I just decided to shake his hand and told him to have a nice day. It was my choice to leave on those terms, however I did not appreciate being cursed out, especially in front of my wife, and the outcome could have been very different, had he been 20 years younger.
