*Consumer Comment: Best Mattress I Ever Bought

Rosehill Auction takes used mattresses from Sears for disposal and resells them as damaged mattresses. The matresses Rosehill gets are the ones that Sears takes away when you buy a new matress. Rosehill has a contract with Sears to dispose of these matresses but instead they sift through them and if there is not any visible blood urine or any other stains they resell them as slightly damaged.
If there happens to be a small stain they cut it out and say that it got damaged in trasport. If it smells they say that it has been in storage for too long.
The fact is that they aquire mattresses for free from Sears and sell them for 100% profit.
Rosehill will also buy some new ones to throw in to make it look like there are some with the tags on them but it is only about 10% of all matresses sold.
If you ask them if they are used their answer will be that they are damaged or liquidation or overstock.
The majority of Rosehill matress sales are used goods that they obtained for free.
It is a running joke even the people at Sears call them piss mats.

I work at Rosehill. I know the mattresses that this report speaks of and can say without any doubt that any mattress that comes in for recycling does not get sold under any circumstances.
Rosehill buys mattresses from several different sources, many of which are a part of the recycling program in which Rosehill reduces mattresses and box springs to recycle the different components (i.e. foam, steel, wood, etc.).
The other sources that Rosehill uses for Mattresses include brand new merchandise and shipping damage only. Mattresses that are damaged in shipping and/or sold as discontinued stockl are represented as such, and customers are never mislead as to the circumstances of the sale.
Customers interested in buying a mattress from Rosehill should not hesitate to do so, as the prices are more than fair and the merchandise is always good to excellent quality.

I recently needed to purchase a new mattress and was told by a friend that Rosehill
Auction House had very good deals. After reading a complaint here at Ripoff Report I was really curious to see what they were selling. To my surprise they had a decent selection of quality mattresses at really good prices. I asked about the used mattresses and the salesman told me that they were brand new and that they were closeouts from a major US furniture chain. Looked good, felt good, smelt good and I bought it. it was about half the price of comparable mattresses I saw at other retailers. Sorry if someone had a bad experience with their mattress but I am one very happy customer. Thank you Rosehill!
