I ordered a bed set from the Bedroom Superstore, n Lynnwood, WA. When I first settled on purchase, I was quoted a price. Then my credit was ran for financing. When I came to purchase the bed, the salesman (Opie) had raised the price by almost $600. I was told that I would have to put down a payment, even though my credit limit would have covered it. So, I left.
Another salesman called me and told me they could actually make it work. I came back to get the bed. They charged me the $99 delivery fee. They told me that everyone has problems putting this particular bed together, and just pay the fee and they will take care of all the details.
The fee was supposed to cover 1)delivery 2)set-up and 3)removal of the old mattress and boxspring. The delivery date suddenly got rescheduled with little notice. I was told that if I couldn't make this new time frame that they didn't know when they could deliver.
I had to rearrange my schedule to make sure I was there. The delivery guys did not bring any tools to set the bed up with. What good does a bed set do me if it isn't put together??? They wanted to just leave it and let me find someone else to put it together.
I had to call around to my friends and family until I found someone who was willing to drop everything to come over and bring some tools. The did remove my old mattress and boxspring from my unit.
Problem is, they left them sitting on the ground, outside the dumpster, which I did not discover until it was brought to my attention by the neighbors.
The garbage men refused to pick them up. The condo association had to break down the old bed themselves, in order to get them into the dumpster for the the garbage men to take them on the next run.
I got a written notice from the Condo Association!!!! Meantime, I can't get anyone from the customer service warehouse in Southcenter to respond to any of my calls. The bottom line is, not only did they NOT provide the service they insisted I pay for, but they made the whole thing my problem.
