I bought a whole bunch of stuff from Teppermans' in March of this year (11').  I purchased a fridge, stove, tv, tables, couple of couches and chairs.  I'm very happy with most of my purchase except the couch and two chairs that i purchased for my living room.  It was only a month after i purchased them that i noticed that the cushions compressed to almost nothing and could barely get out of the damn chair. 

Sure enough all cushions did the same thing on the couch on other chair. I called Teppermans and complained.  They sent out a tech to come and have a look, he agreed that they were no good and replaced them. I asked if he replaced them with better cushions because i figured it would just happen again.  Sure enough round 2 two months later.  Same thing.  Sure enough round 3 a few months after that. 

I actually started to have to put pillows underneath the cushions so that they could be useable ( real classy for when people come over and see pillows sticking out of your ' brand new couch' ).  In that purchase in march we spent almost 9000, so you would think that they would want to keep us happy and try to work something out.  They told me i was pretty much SOL and that they would just keep giving me cushions until my 'year' was up then it was no longer their problem.  BULLS##T!!!!........

Dear Rick,

Thank you for your call, which also brought this post to my attention. I understand that you've since spoken with our Customer Care Manager (Karen C.) about this issue, and that the discussion included a review of the normal process of breaking-in furniture (regular wear-and-tear), vs. a failure of product, materials or manufacturing, as well as the ways manufacturing can vary between price points.

At Tepperman's we stand behind our customers as well as the product we sell. In the case of an actual failure of product, materials or manufacturing then we will make absolutely certain any customer receives the full coverage to which they're entitled by the manufacturer warranty and/ or extended service plan, at a minimum.  

Rick, if you just plain hate the sofa & chairs, there may be one other option available- something of a compromise. I've emailed Karen about it, so if you're interested in discussing that with her, just give her a call.
