Action Taken and Relief Obtained:

In May 2011 I filed a criminal complaint against Garage Door Parts LLC with the Passaic County, N.J. Police Department.  I had to sign an affidavit and fill out a form that was available on line.  I corresponded with a Passaic County Detective.  He was very helpful.  Through his efforts I received a reimbursement check on February 1, 2011 for the entire sum.

Background:

On April 26, 2010 I had placed an order for garage door parts that were never sent.  I researched this company after the fact and found out that there were numerous complaints from consumers across the country.  There was also a New Jersey Attorney General Action filed against this company which resulted in a Consent Decree being entered in 2009.
