What a big mistake it was to use a coupon from the money mailer. . .never use Garage Door Service Co. AKA, America's Choice, for anything.
After calling two local companies we went with AGS since they were advertising in the money mailer we thought it would be a good company. We were so wrong! The prices were inflated to offset the coupon so no value was saved. The technician made huge oil/grease marks on the outside of the garage door that apparently leaked out. When pointing this out, he said a little Dawn would remove which it did not. I called after he left and requested they come out to clean the mess made. I encountered several extremely hostile phone reps claiming to be management who obviously had no customer service skills whatsoever. When we pursued our garage door being cleaned, we encountered 7 phones calls to our home with threatening voicemails claiming if we called again they would "take legal action". Hmm, against what. . . but I guess they think the general public is used to being bullied by them so most probably drop everything and run off scared. They then claimed the oil was there before their tech came out. . . totally ridicioulous to assert such a thing. They also said the 30-day warranty was void. . .again, no valid legal standing to void the warranty but I'm sure most not educated in the law would be bullied by these sorts of threats. They called so much in a 10 minute timeframe, while I was on with the Better Business and Contractor's Board to report this, even they noticed how many times I was getting calls. Thank goodness for caller id where their number showed up and voicemail to have recorded the harassment.
The customer service at this "company", if you want to call it that, is the worst I've ever experienced. I guess busines must be slow or they wouldn't have to mass mail coupons to generate business. These are a bunch of jokers who started a company and I have no doubt, in time, their bad business practices will catch up with them.
We have faith in time, this business will go out of business. We hope this posting will help others from ever using this company for any garage door repair or upgrade. It was truly an awful experience and I feel for those who are not in the legal field who buy into the rubbish these foolish people spew. Given they only provide a PO Box, I'm sure these jokers are huddled up in a room continuing to rip people off.
