Chevron Gas Station Charges a different rate for gas then what signs state. The signs state gas is 3.24 per gallon for regular but they charge you 3.34 per gallon. Winter Haven Florida

You pump the gas, get a receipt from the pump and find its 3.34 per gallon you were charged and not the $3.24 per gallon that's posted on the signs. I went to the manager who gave me a $1.00 back for 10 gallons of gas.
How many people have paid the 3.34 per gallon and didn't know about it.

A customer should only have to pay what is posted on the signs. Some gas pumps won't indicate the amount per gallon until your actually pumping fuel into a vehicle. Once your pumping gas it's too late.....

Another rip-off from a foreigner manager.

If you have any problems with a gas station in Florida it's best to contact the Bureau of Petroleum Inspection (Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services). You can easily Google it, and it will come up. The FAD basically oversees the gas stations and monitor the pumps etc in the state of Florida.

#2 Consumer Comment

"Cash" price vs. "credit" price

AUTHOR: Steve - Bradenton (U.S.A.)

Some stations have 2 prices. One for cash transactions and one for credit transactions which include visa debit cards. The sign will usually say "cash" if this is the case.

Go ahead an file a complaint with the State of Florida.

I do believe it is deceptive advertising, but almost everything is nowadays. Aggravating for sure, but not a rip off or illegal.

My biggest complaint with the raghead owned stations is that you pay at the pump but have to go inside for a reciept! They are too cheap to put paper in the printer!

If I wanted to go inside, I would not elect to pay at the pump! I simply tell them off, and then never go back to that station. They do this on purpose to get you to buy something in the store. That is a scam.
