Dollars4Gold Sent my jewelry for some much needed cash, They never sent the check and then tried to charge me shipping to get my own stuff back! Opa Locka Florida

I needed some quick cash and sent Dollars4gold some jewelry after seeing their add on the internet. This turned into a fiasco! I sent the jewelry and wait the appointed 3 days ( per the website), in fact I waited over a week before contacting them. When I did call them initially I was told by somone who not only did not speak English well that my jewelry wasn't worth anything but that it was after hours (7pm EST) and to call back the next day!

I tried calling again a few weeks later , reached a customer service rep ( around 8pm EST) and was told the reason I was not sent a check was because the items weren't worth anything! ( NO ONE contacted me to tell me this???Some customer service!) I do know that the items I sent were in fact 10K and my initial investment for the rings was minimal as I wanted to put this company to the test, after all, they were featured on Good Morning America!

So, to continue, I ask for my items to be shipped back to me and was told there would be a $15 charge to ship them back to me. Imagine that, I sent them jewelry to make myself money and they are trying to make money off of me! I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that the supervisor would tell me the same thing! ( I see that customer rep always being a customer rep!)

The supervisor does indeed tell me the same thing. I politely complained to the supervisor that this was not right. That I had sent my items in the hopes of receiving a check, not that I would have to write them one! He did state that this policy is stated in the Terms & Conditions on the website-- which after checking, it does!

I advised that I was happy about this and asked would could be done to waive the charge. He said he would enter " customer service" ticket and someone would call me. I asked if it would be the next day? He said ( now remember) he's a supervisor, that he didn't know???

However, if you are like most people, you don't always read the fine print! These policies should have been stated in bold up front on the main page of the site. Lesson learned for me, but I do not want anyone else to get ripped off by this company!

Will wait to hear from them, but I am doubtful! Don't send you precious jewelry to them now matter how hard times get-- you won't get a check and you won't get your jewelry back either!
