I tried www.goldkit.com after hearing that gold was $800 per ounce. I had a very heavy solid gold 14k antique ring with diamonds and a single earring having lost the mate.

I mailed my jewelry in the postage paid envelope and checked online and saw the company had received it and processed it and my check was in the mail.

I mailed my jewelry on Friday 9/19 and received my check on Monday 9/29. The turnaround time was good and when I called to speak to customer service they were very good.

However, the check I received was for $22.40! $20 for a ring I paid retail for about $650 and $2.40 for one earring. I paid $100 for the pair of gold earrings. I am returning the check and getting my jewelry back. It was an eye opening experience to see how little jewelry is really worth.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

I suggest you get your own independent appraisal - IF YOU GET THEM BACK AT ALL

AUTHOR: Laurie - Haslet (U.S.A.)

My guess is they deliberately sent you less than it was worth. No way were they going to give an honest valuation. You needed to get that first.

NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH TV ADVERTISERS!

Just like the As Seen on TV junk they are usually more trouble then they are worth.
