Anthony Vo called my friend’s home at 3:30 Pm and asked to talk to Mary (not real name in order to protect the privacy of my friend)/ Mary filed a complaint about one and half years ago against a female real estate salesperson. Basically, Mary had an appointment with this real estate salesperson Mali in front of the gated community in Newport Beach. Mary presented the offer to this female. The female threw the offer to the ground and toward Mary. Mary was very angry toward the attitude demonstrated by Mali
Mary’s husband was a real estate broker and do not engage in any commercial transaction of real estate at all. Mary filed a complaint against Mali about one and half years ago. Anthony Vo started contacting Mary about one and half months ago. Mary asked Vo to speak to her husband because the language barrier
In stead of focus on the issue, Vo started questioned Mary husband’s knowledge on real estate law. Vo asked Mary’s husband whether or not he practice in real estate or not. I was outrageous to hear the investigator deviated the focus and attempted to set up the trap upon the consumers they supposed to protect
Mary’s husband was patient at beginning. Then he started to question the impartiality of Anthony Vo. Vo told Mary’s husband that he was not familiar with CA real estate law. Mary’s husband verbally protested to Vo that she was not investigating the complaint. Vo insisted to talk on the quality of Mary’s husband’s broker license. Mary’s husband finally asked Vo whether she has real estate broker license or not. Secondly, can a broker maintain a license without engage in any commercial transaction? Thirdly, can broker without commercial activity still possess common sense knowledge? Vo was not even answered the question
Mary’s husband then used very strict tone and asked Vo did real estate salesperson have the obligation to present the reasonable offer to the seller? For whatever reason, the phone was hung up from the side of Vo. Vo called back later and insisted to talk to Mary and harassed Mary that if Mary did not cooperate with her, the investigation will not go on. Mary was a simple oriental lady and I have never seen her so angry ever since I knew her
Mary used high tone and told Vo that she was the consumer and Vo was not intend to investigate the complaint and skirted the issue around. Mary told Vo that she originally would let go the complaint. But Vo’s attitude was very outrageous and decided to continue the complaint
Vo passed the phone to her colleague. The colleague told Mary and Mary’s husband that there was no sufficient evidence and they decided to close the case. Of course, this is the anticipated result since Vo already made the judgment and they cover each other. Mary told Vo that she would file complaint against her. Apparently, Vo did not care. I assume that Vo probably believe that her supervisor would cover her
I have worked for the state government of California for more than 25 years. We have many outstanding and dedicated government employees. But individual like Anthony Vo make us feel shame. Vo seems to forget that taxpayer like Mary and her husband pay taxes so Vo can have a job. Vo seems to forget the mission to be a government worker
It’s the first time that I ever filed rip-off report without even getting the permission from my friend. No wonder consumers have such low positive perception toward real estate professional. Even the regulatory agency representative can not take the impartiality stand. In stead, they played tricks and maliciously entrapped decent consumer like Mary

I will personally call Whitman’s campaign office and ask her to put your name on the list for firing once she become the governor of California.
