As a citizen and taxpayer in montevallo I am shocked and dismayed at the lack of candor and truthfullness of the city staff in dealing with city services to the residents.   I have attended every meeting as a gadfly and proposed several changes to the buget as it is proposed and have only been stonwalled repeatedly in my quest for truth and transparancy in government.

Repeatedly I have been denied my right to voice my opinion of the handling of compaints directly to the mayor's office and for complaints at the handling of the crisis in funding of city services to the taxpayers of the extended city boundary and the county overlap of jurisdictions.

Many others have requested public hearings to vent their anger at the city office holders who propose new taxes on water and uitilities where none existed in the past. If more citizens would take to heart the shabby notices we received in the mail we no recourse to the elected officials.

The ballot arrguments are disguised and self serving talk of future benefits which no one realized until now that this is the final attempt of a few council candidates to cause the senior community to suffer on their fixed income of medicare, Social Security and Food Stamps.

proper complaints have been filed with the FAIR POLITCAL PRACTICES COMMISSION and Common Cause formerly with Ralph Nader.  True reform will not be realized until Steven Sears, Sarah Palin and the other members of the republican office holders committee resign and true voices of the community are heard.

The election of 2009 has shown itself to be a total fraud and all the elected official will have to resign or face impeachment.  A RECALL petiition is being distributed to all eligible voters who have registered Republican, Democrat or Independent.
