On 1-15--2012 while at the Sarasota Gun Show I purchased a brand new, 22cal semi auto pistol for $141.74, from Brevard Ammo & Sporting Supply. The next day i fired the pistol to tast it. Out of a clip of 6, only 2 shells fired. I use ammo from 3 different manufactures. It jammed and the shells that chambered didn't fire.I tested the shells in a Ruger semi auto Pistol and they all fired.
On Jan. 19 I shipped the pistol back to Brevard Ammo & Sporting Supply, VIA, United Parcel Service at a cost of $24.98. Along with the returned, I sent a letter explaining how the pistol performed and that it was junk.
A few days later I called them, because they didn't get back with me. I was informed they couldn't credit a Visa charge and they would send a Cheque. The checque was in the amount of $102.56. 25% less then I paid.
I shouldn't be penalized 40 bucks on a brand new pistol I purchased that doesn't shoot properly. Most companies give a full refund on purchases that don't work. Are they going to put this firearm back into their inventory, and sell it another unwary buyer?
