I traveled to NYC from RI by train for my first consultation with a stylist @ Farrell Hair Systems. At that time I ordered 2 systems (was told this was the only way they do it) @ a "reduced" fee in the amount of $3,000. I was told the systems would be ready in 6-8 weeks.

Sixteen weeks later I received a call that they had arrived. Long story short...when I arrived it was a different stylist who could not understand why the system had wavy/curly hair when my hair is very straight. He cut the system, "installed" it and sent me on my way. He didn't even dye my hair to match the system which was a different color from mine. The system looked horrible, I removed it myself and attempted to contact the NY Salon. The phone was disconnected and the LA phone just kept ringing. I thought for sure that they had gone out of business and I was stuck with a system that I couldn't use. I filed a report with the NY BBB. Shortly thereafter I received a call from "Perla" at Farrell which resulted in me once again traveling to NYC to meet with Richard for a personal consultation. When I arrived I was greeted by Laura who put through an inquisition as two of my sisters were traveling with me. They came along so that they could learn how to attach the system in order to help me. She asked me if they were my personal stylists and what they were doing there.

Laura then took me into a consultation room with Richard where they both spoke to me in a very rude and confrontational manner. He finally mentioned the complaint that I had filed and how they were not happy about it. I had never been treated so rudely by a service provider in my life. But, what did they care? They already had my money and they made it quite clear that they weren't going to refund a penny of it.
He said that he would provide me with another system at a great loss to them, blah,blah,blah. Things became so contentious that when the systems were finally ready I requested that they be mailed to me as I had no desire to deal with the Farrell's ever again. Laura refused to send them to me and instead to refund $1500 of the $3000 that I paid them to settle which I did as I could no longer take the grief of dealing with them.

I wonder if this is how they make a good portion of their money? Don't deliver, deliver inferior products, berate and brow beat customers until they are willing to throw good money away just to be rid of them. Not to mention the money that I had spent on travel and hotels. It was a most horrible experience. It is a shame that they appear to prey on those who are in need.

All I can say is run fast and run far!! Stay away from these very uncaring, money grubbing nasty people. Being a woman with a hair loss issue is a challenge. Dealing with Richard and Laura made it a nightmare. Conned in Coventry.
