This report is being filed due to a conversation that I recently had with Ms. Olson as she was representing Regis Corporation. After a week of attempting to resolve the issue that had initiated my concern, Ms. Olson finally - albeit, not to my satisfaction - responded to my desire to get some type of a refund for services rendered at a Regis Hair Salon in Delaware.

Due to the fact that my teen-aged daughter spent more than 5 hours in a stylist's chair, I was hoping to receive compensation for, at the very least, the money that I had spent on her dinner ($15) that she ended up missing due to the extremely lengthy hair coloring service as well as a refund for a "miscellaneous charge" ($20)on my receipt. While we entered the salon with the intention of simply getting my daughter's hair cut/styled, the stylist persuaded my daughter to "correct" the color of her hair (we had in September colored my daughter's hair with an at-home kit). At 2:30 p.m., we had agreed to this "Corrective" service but I had made it very clear to the stylist that we had other obligations for later that afternoon and then again, for the early evening. The time was 8:00 p.m. when my daughter finally joined us for dinner at a restaurant within the same mall as the salon. While her hair looks nice, I am upset about the length of time the service took when I had made it clear that we had other obligations that afternoon and evening (apparently, the stylist did take quite a few other clients during the time that she could have been concentrating on my daughter's hair).

I did end up requesting a full refund ($110) from the corporate headquarters due to the nature of the week that followed. I was first dealing with a representative from the company who stated that she would follow-up with me the next day and then the NEXT day and THEN, she passed my name along to, I am assuming, Ms. Olson, who never did follow-up with me that week. I finally called and was connected by the switchboard operator to Jan Olson. During the course of my conversation with her, Jan had originally indicated that she was going to place a refund on my credit card but then she began lying to me about a few things and speaking to me unprofessionally (i.e. - not having my address on file - which she did have in front of her apparently as she read it to me after I simply gave her my house # and street; she refused to give me the name of HER supervisor/boss - I repeatedly asked her to tell me to whom she reports - she claimed, at first, that she has no supervisor/boss/that she is indeed the "top" of the company; she, in what I found to be a very demeaning manner, repeated my name frequently throughout our conversation; she stated that she needed to contact the store/salon in question - they had already been contacted the previous week and the manager at that location was under the impression that I was going to be receiving a credit card refund and she had changed my words around to the point that I had to repeat on 3 occasions that my words were what I had said and not what she "heard").

To this date, no apology letter nor a refund has come my way - both to which I feel I am entitled at this point.
