Juanita K. Hammons Hall Many seats worthless, Overpriced, Prices blatantly misrepresented Springfield, Missouri

Juanita K. Hammons Hall advertises ticket prices to customers which are bald-faced lies.The actual charge will be $7 more than the price initially given, per ticket.

Seats on the 1st level, which sell for $57 are the only ones in the building where the audience is able to see and hear the performance.All other seats are so far away that customers are unable to see the stage.Acoustics at this theater are lousy as well, making it difficult to hear the performance from any seats other than those on the 1st level, directly in front of the stage.I reported this to the usher at the beginning of a recent performance and was not allowed to receive either a different seat or a refund.
A seperate experience at a different performance in this building, in the top balcony revealed that in those areas ushers do not control talking or use of cell phones, and the area smelled like a gym locker!Since the local paper has even printed letters to the editor about the poor acoustics at this theater I find it hard to believe that the administration are unaware of the problem.

If you are directly in front of the stage and don't mind paying $7 more than the advertised price of the ticket, you will be fine.If you are seated anywhere else in the hall prepare to be ripped off.
