I received letter from Handy Man Club of America for membership and magazine. I was suppose to get free tools to try out. I told them I wasn't interested in getting it. I kept getting mail from them and then it turned out, I was suppose to have ordered it.
I still have the "accept" package, so that proves I didn't send it in. Now, they are threating me with collections. They say I haven't paid for the past five months. They say, "In good faith, we sent you a full Membership Kit and started your subscription to our Members-only magazine Handy". Well, I haven't received any of this junk.
Also, they state "To avoid our need to sursue formal collection efforts on your account you must let us know if you've decided not to become a Member by writing cancel on the enclosed invoice and returning it to us".
Why should I have to cancel something I didn't get? Are these people crazy, that they think they can get away with this? Does that mean I can send anyone a letter and threaten collections, just to make money? How many people are getting ripped off by these jerks because they think they have to pay it? I won't pay it.
