HCI Delran New Jersey Completed course up to my externship. Never received certificate but still forced to pay loan! And now the school is closed down! Delran, New Jersey

I went to HCI in 2002, I completed my course with excellent grades until I got to my externship. At the time, I was working two jobs and going to school. I was a single mom so I could not give up my second job. I started my externship at a doctor's office but I had to complete it in a certain amount of time, which I couldn't do due to working a second job. No one ever told me that this externship had to be completed in a certain time period until I was already at that point and had to do it in order to complete the course. My "counselor" told me that I needed to quit my second job in order to complete the externship. I could not afford to do that. I was already struggling financially. So of course, I did not quit and I never made the required hours or received my certificate. For a long time, I thought this was basically my fault because of the situation I was in at the time. But many people, since then, have told me about a "hardship" form that I could have filled out for my situation. Which, of course, the school itself never informed of my rights for this. Well, since then the school in Delran has closed. I do not know much information about who I have to go to about this loan that I am now forced to pay back even though what was promised to me from the school never came about. If anyone has info on this, please let me know. I do not feel I was treated fairly and I shouldn't have my tax refund taken from me or my wages garnished for a "product" that I never received.
