Careful of Josh Martin and his company, Volunteer Spas. He is a ruthless thief who has no problem stealing money from good upstanding citizens. It makes no difference to him if you are wealthy or broke. Watch out! I'll never again touch this scum with a ten-foot pole!

Volunteer Spas has never sold any merchandise nor performed any services in Chicago or anywhere else in Illinois for the matter.  Everything in this report is Completely False and is probably posted by the same, Robert Adams SERM consultant, whom contacted us to notify us of the posting and to sell us a service regarding the matter. 

We are and have been, for more than a Decade, the leading commercial supplier of hot tubs, pool tables, game tables, arcade games, and saunas in east Tennessee. We rarely sell to the general public (never to date have we sold to anyone in Chicago), we sell to contractors and banks to furnish vacation cabins in the Great Smoky Mountains.

Many of our customers have been with us for over 10 years. Our reputation of customer service and quality products has enabled our company to grow even in this down economic environment.

Whomever wrote this report has no knowledge of our company, nor validation to any part of this report. His report is composed of insults and name calling completely void of any factual evidence in the attempt to collect a fee for a fraudulent report.

What I wrote about Josh Martin of Volunteer Spas is 100% true and accurate. I never said I was a customer of VolSpas. I am a former vendor and there certainly is still a balance. I made Josh Martin abundantly aware of the fact that he still owed me for my services, and the amount, and he virtually ignored me. Even the way he canceled was fishy. I have a strong impression that he is a dishonest person.

I apologize for the delay in replying. I just came across your rebuttal this morning.

10 year customer of Volunteer Spas

Upon reading this obvious "phishing" scam posted by a supposed "Bill" from Chicago, I had to write something in.  

We have been doing business with Volunteer Spas for over 10 years and have NEVER had a problem with service or ethical behavior.

We are familiar with Rip Off Report though, it is a scam website that tries to extort money from hard working individuals.  We ourselves have been targeted by so called "complaints" (we run a non-profit shelter for the homeless).  These people complain to rip off report and then offer a service to remove the posting for a monetary sum.

Bill and others are the lowest form of SCUM on the planet and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law!!!

It is sad to see what this country has come to...

Still shrouded in lies

We have been with the same vendors for 12 years.  Premium Leisure, LLC for our hot tubs as well as Leisuretime Products for our billiard tables... call them, we have an outstanding reputation with these companies. GAC Supply, and J&S have in the past 2 years gone out of business, there was nothing owed to these companies when they went out of business.. in fact, GAC filed for bankruptcy owing us $900 (in return/warranty repair credits) which we have filed as a creditor in US Bankruptcy court in New Jersey.   

The only Bill we have ever done business with was a credit card processing Bill Schlunz (whom you can google and there are several rip off reports on this guy... it looks like we were lucky to get away) at DB Financial.   

We did not cancel our account in any "fishy" way. We simply told Bill that he himself was terrible at customer support, his company was sub-par with their performance in the duties we requested to be performed, and we did not wish to use him or his company anymore.  Several months passed by and he contacted us stating that we owed him $19 (yes, nineteen dollars) as per the contract with his company (we have never seen a contract).  We went off and found a reputable ACH (payment gateway) from a known bank with good customer service and we have been with them (incident free) ever since.  Even though it was only $19.00 (nineteen dollars) we thought it was ludicrous to pay the fee so we told him NO.

 It wouldn't surprise me at all to find that Bill Schlunz was working with these SCUM like Robert Adams (SERM consultant) in an effort to either extort money from companies or sell their services to remove these reports (still extortion).  Bill Schlunz must be falling on hard times, which is no shocking information to me knowing what kind of guy he is, and is trying to slime his way through a "work day" of stealing people's money.

pretty well written, but so dishonest it's just sad

This is just sad. There is so much BS in Josh Martin's reply that it's not even worth my time to point out all the lies & exaggeration.

In my experience, Josh was a condescending, disrespectful business owner with very little class, and even less honesty. This response of his is so ridiculous, I'm done with this topic.

This whole idea that I had about announcing my experiences with Josh/Volunteer was a bad one. Instead of sharing an honest experience I had in hopes of warning others, this has turned into an attack on my character.

Even worse than what Josh wrote on this topic, he also opened a new topic about me personally and my business. In this other "report" he wrote nothing but ugly deceitful slander. The fictitious accusations he made were so far fetched, that I can't imagine anyone even believing them.

However, stooping to his level doesn't help my cause.

This forum, in my mind, is not the helpful source I thought it was, but rather a non-deletable forum that dishonest people can manufacture ridiculous, libelous, slander about anyone they choose.

You win the smear campaign, Josh. I shouldn't be surprised.

This whole situation represents what is fundamentally wrong with the internet and freedom of speech is the ease with which such freedoms can be abused by dishonest people...

Unfortunately Rip Off Report is full of such individuals (like Bill) whom use it as a tool to slander and spread false information about those whom have performed absolutely no form of fraud. Which is why most people as well as consumer reporting watchdogs discount many of the reports posted on this site...  

Nothing in any of our rebuttals attack Bill's character, personality, or family. We are better than that! From the beginning, Bill has filled his reports with slander, lies and attacks on our company and officers...  Our rebuttals have simply told the facts of the situation upon which he based his first report.  We stated the TRUTH in stating that we were not happy with his services and went our own way, we have been with our present gateway processing company, BBT,  since leaving DB Financial and couldn't be more pleased. 

For Bill to even hint that he is taking the "high road" is completely hypocritical when it was himself whom filed the 1st report loaded with slander, name calling and lies... Even in his last report, he shows that his only interest is name calling and spreading false information. We have opened absolutely no reports on Bill or his company, any accusations otherwise are unsubstantiated and unwarranted (just like the rest of his claims...)  The only action we have taken has been with our lawyer for Bill's libel remarks posted on this very site upon which he should already received the paperwork...

In addition to this report thread, you obviously were the one that posted other (ridiculously false) report(s) about me, accusing me of credit card theft, selling stolen personal information on the black market, etc.

Interesting spin you put on this to make yourself innocent & victimized. You & I know the truth.
