Mega Life And Health Insurance Company Sold as Health Care Plan In Massachusetts, may be against the Law North Richland Hills Texas

I am still digging into the legality of this company in Massachusetts. I have spent the last week talking with heads of the Insurance bureau's here and am finding out, that we were had.

We had no choice in this matter as my husbands employer signed us up as our only Heath Care Insurance. After repeated talks with employees at Mega, I am still baffled as to what our benefits are. Except that they cover absolutely nothing as to healthy checkups or immunizations, for myself or my husband even for our 6 year old.

As of this date I am trying to meet with the agent who sold this plan to my husbands employer. To have her explain the policy letter by letter, and she has cancelled that meeting. One of the biggest problems that I am facing now is that we might be taxed next year for not having Creditable Coverage as mandated by the state of Massachusetts. Also that we might be subjected to Pre-Existing Condition Limitations with any new insurance provider that we might choose. Seeing that we were not covered by a Creditable Insurance Provider for 6 months.

One bright and shiny note is that we are healthy, and only down a couple of hundred dollars for the few doctors visits that we made. Luckily the bills started piling up and I finally started to dig into this plan.

I will keep you posted as to what happens in the near future with this problem. Advice from me, read your insurance manual, call Mega Life, cancel your policy and RUN!
