I used to work for mega and I just want to warn not only future agents that are thinking about working for Mega, UGA, HealthMarkets, but also those individuals or so called self employed consumers. This company is a total scam. They try to act like they are selling you something different at a better price. Sure in some cases the price is better, but the coverage is horrible. You will think your getting a good deal until you actually have to use the insurance. Take there doctors visits for example, you make think your getting 1000 dollars worth of visits but they dont let you use it at your will. You can only use 25% of it every quarter. If your paying for something you should be able to use it whenever you want. Also if you go to the emergency room and have certain tests performed or the bill comes out to be over 1500 dollars expect to pay. And god for bid you have any major claims, you will lose everything you worked so hard for. If your thinking about getting Mega Insurance, you would be better off taking that money you would have spent and get a plan through Anthem, Golden Rule or Assurant. Anyone is better than Mega. They are discount plans at best. And if you work for them, sure it may seem to be good while you are there, but if you leave you are screwed. They will take back almost all of the money that you made even if your book is still making money. And you will never get a back end check unless you take no advance. Dont believe these so called managers that tell you after 2 years you will get a back end check. It will never happen. Ive seen guys that have been there for 7 years and still live off advances and bonuses. The company keeps all the money you should be getting. On another note, if you see an agent named Jerry Yuen, beware. He will show up in his fancy suites and his fancy cars and make you believe he is looking out for your best interest and that he will tell you he has been doing this for 7 years, but he has only been there for 2 years and he is not your friend. He is only in it for the money. YOUR MONEY. Please dont make the same mistake that I did believing in this company. No matter which side of the line your on, YOU WILL GET SCAMMED.
