On July 2011 I had an MRI to my left leg. I was told It was most certainly a cancerous lump. Not being insured I applied on line for coverage. I ticked the pre existing box. I was at work when NBLA contacted the house by phone. My wife answered it explained everything the gentleman on the phone, Leo was his name, told my wife we would be covered ok. So in good faith she paid $300 dollars over the phone which in effect started the insurance. Hospitals were accepting the insurance card for various procedures, we thought nothing of it, until bills started coming in. I contacted them and asked what was going on then I was told what they did not cover - chemotherapy-radiation-diagnostics. Now because of this I was turned away mid treatment for chemo, I had already had two which a charity covered the bill was in the region of $34,000. I was to have another two, when I phoned up the hospital said I was not covered, now because of NBLA and their out and out lies on the phone, just to get a sale, I have to try and get funds for a PET scan, as it may have spread.

 I spoke to some other guy called Palmer on the NBLA side who tried to fob me off, he said it it is in the documents what the coverage was. I told him we paid over the phone without seeing documents, just the words of a representative, who was more like a used car salesman. Palmer agreed that these agencies they tender ot to don't know enough about insurance. My problem is now I tried for another insurance which did cover pre existing, I read it, they will not entertain anyone who has had insurance in the last 6 months. My insurance started when that phone was put down after my wife paid out $300. So NBLA documents have no effect here. Now because of their lie through the teeth practice to get a sale, my cancer may have advanced. I am going to rake through every legal system and contact every lawyer on this planet until this lot are held accountable.
