After 9 years of making monthly payments on a whole life policy to Western Reserve Life, they cancelled my policy because I had one lapse payment.

I was expecting that my policy should have some cash value with all the money I dumped in monthly. When I talked to the company they said that my cash value was approximately $3000 and the surrender value was $3000. The policy lapse because there weren't sufficient fund.

This company is a complete SCAM as they will try anything to catch your mistakes. I have invested more than 20k into this policy and now I'm left empty handed.

For those who are thinking of buying from Western Reserve Life, STAY AWAY! I would go with the more reputable companies such as Prudential, MetLife, etc...
