Bally's Total Fitness Bethel Park PA 15102 Deceptive sign-up practices and flay out lying Bethel Park Pennsylvania

I went to sign up at Bally's and specifically told Anthony Zrinyi (employee number 940255) that I did not want a long tern contract. I made sure to bring that up to him several times and asked that I pay month to month. All of this because I was getting married and relocting a few months, he said he understood and it could be done. I read the whole contract and asked him why it said anything about a 36 month contract. He assured me that the only way I could pay month to month was was to sign it but as long as I met with a trainer on my first visit and came at least 17 times within 60 days that I could cancel any time after that. Again, I told him in no way shape or form did I want any contract for anything longer than a month at a time, he assured me I wasn't signing any long term contract.

Needless to say when I tried to cancel monts later I was informed that I was locked into a 36 month contract. I moved away, followed their rules for cancellation due to relocation and sent them a copy of my offical lease, they denied it. It took a while but I just got another one from my landlord and I am sending it to them and stopping my automatic bank payments. If they play their game this time I will send everything to my Attorney General. Hopefully their suspect sign up practices will end in a class action law suit and people will recover at least some of the money these people have stolen.
