Ok, I will get straight to the point:
1) The reason you will get so many phones calls when your billing declines is because your account information is on a list and every LA Fitness can access your phone number to call you to update your account. Also, we are told by our District Operations Manager not to leave notes in the account such as "Left a Message." In their eyes, you have a bill to pay so you will get hundreds of phone calls until its updated or you actually speak with someone. If you do speak with someone and don't update, tell them to note the account. Otherwise, the phone calls will continue. I cannot promise they will stop 100%, but at least it might help.

2) If you need to cancel your membership during the 3/7 day cancel period, make sure they give you a receipt saying it was canceled. Here is why: A member came in the other day to cxl the accounts (Fitness, kids club, and Training). It was the 3rd business day so the customer was entitled to a full refund. The person who signed him up was attempting to bull crap him and lie and tell him he would have to do it tomorrow because Club Support is closed. This is a LIE!!! All managers at the club can cxl the accounts at any time during the 3/7 days time frame. The reason they will lie to you is because they want to keep the commissions from the memberships, ESPECIALLY if it is the last day of the pay period. The commissions will be paid to the employee but then next pay period the commissions will start at negative because you cxled the account, but it won't matter to them because they still got the money.

Do not tell them fool you. They are mostly all liars that are trying to benefit in every way from you.

3) There are tons of people who are always in the gym that do not pay. The general managers will let whoever they want to in the club. So all their little friends will be in the gym that you pay 40 bucks a month for, for FREE!!! Its a crock of crap if you ask me.

L.A. Fitness does have its good employees and managers that don't try to steal from you or the company but they usually go unnoticed.

4) Usually everything the front desk staff tells you is going to be the same thing the manager says. That's just how they operate.
